Katie started working in the outpatient department at The Medical Center of Lewisville in 2002 where her love of the spine developed. She was educated and certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the assessment and treatment of spine and extremity pain. Katie then worked the next 8 years at a spine rehab facility, Spine Team Texas. She later did some home health & assisted living rehab and has now returned to outpatient. Katie started at Physical Therapy Associates in August 2017.
Katie attended undergraduate school at the University of Texas at Austin and graduate school at the University of Texas Southwestern.
Her favorite hobbies and activities include all things family! This means hiking, camping, gardening, running, watching movies & watching sports. She also loves her Texas Longhorns & watching her kids enjoy soccer, dance and baseball.
Why I chose PT: “I have always enjoyed health, fitness and sport and love working with and learning about people. This is the perfect combination! I love the idea of teaching people how to live a better life and returning to the things they love.”
Her favorite areas of the body to treat are hips, knees and the spine.
